While the Grammy Awards ceremony may still be a couple of months away, CBS air tonight airing Grammy Greats: The Stories Behind The Songs (9 pm – 11 pm ET/PT; also on Paramount+). Over the course of the two-hour special, viewers will get a chance to hear from Billie Eilish & Finneas, Richard Marx, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Mark Ronson, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Brandi Carlile, Bonnie Raitt, Sting, and Lady A, and look back at some iconic Grammy Awards moments.

2015: Sting performed at the American Airlines Centre in Dallas, USA. More

2011: Sting performed at the Olympic Park Gymnastic Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea.

2009: Sting was in Los Angeles to attend the Golden Globe awards where he presented the award for "Best Original Song - Motion Picture", to his old friend Bruce Springsteen for the song 'The Wrestler' from the film of the same name.

2007: Sting & Edin Karamazov performed at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, USA.

2000: Sting performed at the Micropolis in Besancon, France.

1994: Sting performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England. More

1986: Sting performed at the Scottish Exhibition Centre in Glasgow, Scotland.

1982: The Police performed at the Parc des Expositions du Bourget in Paris, France.

1981: The Police played a secret gig at the Ritz in New York City, announced at 8.30am in the morning of the same day. All 1900 seats sold out in two hours. More

1980: The Police appeared on the 'Rockpalast' TV show at the Marktalle in Hamburg, Germany.

1979: The Police performed with Eberhard Schoener at the Ruhrlandhalle in Bochum, Germany.

 

SUMMONER'S TALES...

"I learn something about a song every night I sing it. I have total freedom and this is really what I like. Singing is like flying. You can swoop, you can soar, you can go fast, you can go slow. It's like giving it a new set of clothes, the skeleton of the song remains the same. I wanted the orchestra to be used as a rhythmic instrument and give something new to the songs."
